New York / Tel Aviv - September 15, 2025 - Terra Security, the first agentic-AI-powered continuous penetration testing platform with a human-in-the-loop mechanism, has raised a $30M Series A round, led by Felicis with participation from Dell Technologies Capital, SVCI, and existing investors SYN Ventures, LAMA Partners (FKA FXP), and Underscore VC. This brings Terra’s total funding to date to $38M. We’re also excited to welcome Gerhard Eschelbeck, former Google CISO, to our board of directors.
Penetration testing hasn’t evolved in decades. Most organizations still rely on manual, point-in-time tests that are expensive, slow, and outdated the moment they’re delivered. Automated tools, on the other hand, struggle to mimic real attackers or provide actionable insights at scale. The result: security teams are left with blind spots, hypothetical risks, and vulnerabilities that attackers can exploit faster than defenders can respond.
At Terra, we knew there had to be a better way.
Terra combines a swarm of fine-tuned AI agents - each designed to think and act like ethical hackers - with expert human oversight to continuously test an organization’s full attack surface.
This combination delivers actionable insights security teams can trust, helping them focus on fixing the vulnerabilities that matter most.
This raise comes just a few months after our $8M seed round. In that short time, Terra has:
The signal from the market is clear: security teams are ready for a new era of offensive testing.
With this new funding, we’ll:
We’re just scratching the surface of what’s possible when AI agents work side by side with human experts to secure the world’s most critical systems.
We’re incredibly proud of the team behind Terra and grateful to our investors, customers, and partners who share our vision. This is only the beginning - and we’re just getting started. — Shahar Peled, CEO & Co-Founder, Gal Malachi, CTO & Co-Founder, Terra Security
